Oil
Petroleum, neft or ground oil is a natural flammable mineral oil consisting of hydrocarbons, of a dense consistency from water, dark in color, untreated, with its own specific odor, extracted from underground. The Latin word petro (stone) and oleum (oil), consisting of the words petroleum, means kerosene. Petroleum is a composition consisting of hydrogen and carbon with a small amount of nitrogen, oxygen and sulfur in it; it does not have a simple formula. As a result of the purification and processing of crude oil in refineries, gasoline, fuel oil and diesel oil, LPG (liquefied petroleum gas, propane or propane-butane mixture), jet fuel, asphalt , paraffin and other petroleum products are obtained.
